Electrical and fire hazard

Disconnect power and verify absence of voltage before work. Incorrect wiring, undersized conductors, inadequate protection or exceeding ratings may cause overheating, fire or damage.

1 / Qualified installation

  • Permanent installation in a panel or building system must be carried out by qualified personnel under local rules.
  • Install in a protected enclosure suitable for the environment, on a DIN rail or with the intended mounting method.
  • The device is not an isolating switch. Provide an accessible means to disconnect its supply.

2 / Power and loads

  • Use only a regulated 12–24 V DC supply sized for load, inrush and wiring.
  • Observe polarity, wiring diagram and terminal markings for the specific unit.
  • Do not exceed 180 W on any channel or 500 W combined.
  • Size conductors, terminals, fuses and overcurrent protection for actual current and voltage drop.
  • D1 and D2 data outputs are not power outputs.

3 / Environment and cooling

  • Use in a dry location protected from water, condensation, conductive dust and corrosive or explosive atmospheres.
  • Provide adequate space and ventilation. Do not cover the device or install it next to heat sources.
  • Do not use if the enclosure, terminals or wiring are damaged, deformed, discoloured or excessively hot.

4 / Operation and servicing

  • Do not open or modify the device. It contains no user-serviceable parts.
  • Do not rely on LUMA for safety, emergency, evacuation or life-protection functions without compliant independent systems.
  • Ensure stable power before firmware updates. Install only authentic OBJEX LABS releases.
  • After any change, verify manual operation, scenes, automations and behaviour without network connectivity.

5 / If something is wrong

Immediately disconnect power if there is odour, smoke, unusual noise, overheating, liquid ingress or damage. Do not re-energize until qualified personnel have inspected the system.
